Its actually just a spare tire kit....
To accomodate for the rear diff for the awd, VW had to decrease the depth of the spare tire well in the hatch, and by doing that it didnt allow for a full size spare. So VW equiped all the cars with temp tire sealant, a 50-50 chance of it working.
However, Audi put a small spare tire donut in the Audi TT which has the same spare wheel well as it has the same rear diff for the awd. So the TT Spare kit is actually just a donut and a spacer (spacer needed to put the donut over the 13.2in front rotors....
